Only some of our scenes require dialogue in them. This includes Alex having a conversation with his friend, the phone messages at the beginning and the car scene. The rest of the scenes, especially the scenes where Alex is alone have no dialogue in them. This emphasises the fact that Alex does not connect with the real world in any way and makes the audience wonder what Alex is thinking to himself. Lack of words in any film also builds suspense which is what we want in our short film.
