Costumes and props

Due to the low budget we had to use and wear props and costumes that we already possessed. In terms of costume, our characters are normal, present day young adults so we thought that we would get away with just wearing our normal clothes. This also connects the audience and allows them to relate to the characters. The costume choices were never a main priority during the planning of our short film as we knew we did not need any different clothes to what we wear normally. This made the issue very simple and cheap.
We used many props in our short film. The most significant items are the pint of beers to set the scene in the pub, the screwed up paper on the floor to emphasise Alex’s stressful nature and the continuous sightings of his mobile which makes him seem desperate to get in contact with Mellissa. I believed we should of used more significant props in our short film by planning it more at the start.
